Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is filled with an extremely diverse group of students. My students come from different types of families and backgrounds, but every day they show up excited to learn. My classroom is filled with outgoing and vibrant students who work hard and have big dreams. The neighborhood I am a part of has families of all classes and backgrounds.
As a diverse school, we work hard to differentiate instruction and make learning accessible to all students.
Our school has a great community of families, students, and staff who work hard for our school.
My Project
In a time where students and teachers are adjusting to distance learning it is important to support them. Different books can be used to help support student in teaching them empathy, kindness, and bravery. My hope is to combine these books with art and different stress relief activities to engage students.
These books will be a tool to aid in the social emotional learning for in the classroom and learning to cope with their emotions.
It is important now more than ever to support students in learning how to communicate with others.
