My Project
At CMS, a Title I school, our students are resilient, hardworking, and eager to learn despite facing significant challenges. Many of our students come from low-income households and rely on the school library as their primary source of books and learning resources. Unfortunately, due to severe budget cuts, we have been informed that we will not be able to purchase any new books for the next two years. This gap will drastically limit our ability to provide the engaging, diverse, and up-to-date books our students need to support their academic growth and foster a love of reading.
The books we are requesting will make an immediate and profound difference in our students’ learning.
Access to a well-stocked library encourages students to explore their interests, build their literacy skills, and engage with stories that reflect their experiences and open their minds to new perspectives. With these books, we aim to create an inspiring and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to read, learn, and dream big.
Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to the resources they need to thrive.
