By receiving these resources, it will allow us to complete our class set of laptops that will be used in the Library for every subject area. Currently, I teach 4-5 days a week for 6 periods to enhance their 21st Century Skills and incorporate their classroom standards. For the next project, students (754 students in all classes) will be doing Book Reviews for the individual novels they read this quarter. They will record them on a Laptop with FlipGrid to recommend their books to other students. Reading Standards: R. 10. By the end of the year I can, read and comprehend literary nonfiction in the grades 6–8 text complexity band proficiently, with scaffolding as needed at the high end of the range.​ Reading RL3: Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution.​ W2. I can write informative/explanatory texts to examine a topic and convey ideas, concepts, and information through the selection, organization, and analysis of relevant content.​ SL 5. Include multimedia components (e.g., graphics, images, music, sound) and visual displays in presentations to clarify information. (Youtube video) FlipGrid​ I can use spoken, written, and visual, language to accomplish their own purposes (e.g. for learning, enjoyment, persuasion, and the exchange of information.
