Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This year, we have 10 graduating 8th graders who will be leaving us. We are made up of 3 community-based, special education classes for 6-8 graders. We are lucky enough to have our same students for all 3 of their middle school years which makes it a little bittersweet when they do leave us.

We want to send them off with a little gift, a little reminder of their time here with us, and materials for summer reading activities.

A little part of them will always stay with us, but with your help, we can send them with a little reminder of us.
