Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are so fun and energetic. They all come from different backgrounds, cultures and economic status. They are at all different reading levels but seem to have a love for reading. These kids are so resilient. They have endured a lot this past year and a half and seem so unphased. They amaze me everyday with their abilities to bounce back from hard situations.
They are mostly from the inner city but it is also a very small town feel.
The students get to live close to mountains but also have the luxury to have things right by them.
They are all great kids and would love any help to fund our classroom.
My Project
These books are great for my students that are learning to read all the way to my students that are reading above grade level. My class library is very slim and I would like to be able to grow it to a library where all my students love to go. I want to do anything I can to encourage my students to read. I want students to feel like there is something for them and they can relate to. When a child finds a book they like to read they are opening the door to a whole new world.
