My students need books to help them begin and continue their reading journey! My students are currently beginning the learning to read independently process! These books would help make reading fun for them.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Thanks for stopping by and considering making a donation to my classroom! This is my third year teaching in a Title 1 school where 100% of the students receive free lunch. About 90% of my students speak a language other than English as their first language. The parents of my students can not afford to give them even the most basic supplies for school. When I found out about this resource, I was really excited! Thank you so much for your support!
My Project
These books will help my students find the joy in reading! The reason I became a kindergarten teacher is because I wanted to be the first one to teach kids to read and show them how fun it can be. These books will allow my students to have a chance to read with their families at home and use the paper to draw and reflect on the stories. Giving to my project will help under privileged students have books available for them everyday to read independently and with their families and friends. Thank you for considering my class as a donation!
