Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will provide my students a way to connect to books they can relate to. It will enhance their language and increase their vocabulary in both English and Spanish. This will allow the students an opportunity to make learning enjoyable and engaging when they have books they can relate to. The books are also great for the class to compare the different languages and cultures.
It is a great way for the children to feel proud of their culture and identity when they see their language being represented in books.
My students are special because they hold a superpower. The superpower of being bilingual. I hold the responsibility to cultivate it and teach them to appreciate being bilingual.
