My Students

My students are a curious, bright bunch. They are always making connections and hungry to learn more. They are a sweet community of learners, often going the extra mile to take extra care of each other.

These third graders are book lovers!

They love to read, share books, and talk about what they're reading. They are already on their way to a lifetime of loving books.

I'm hoping this project will put more books in their hands, which they desperately need.

My Project

My students love to read, but our classroom's library sorely needs to be updated. I want to put new, exciting and engaging books in their hands. By having daily access to these books, they can read about people who've made a difference in the world, and about kids just like them who are learning to make their way.

I've chosen books that reflect who my kids are, so they can see themselves in these books.

Reading these books will help them know the world better, but also help them learn about who they are and who they want to be.
