This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a rich, inclusive classroom library is so important for my students. Every student needs to see themselves in literature.

These books that I have chosen will allow my students to see themselves in books, allow for open discussions and create an even more inclusive classroom.

These books will enhance my classroom read alouds and allow for open discussions and sharing about our cultures. It will increase empathy, build community and help our class become a family. Learning and sharing about our culture is a priceless learning experience that I can’t wait to dive into!
