This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My high school students love a good story that speaks to their lives. That’s why I’m looking to build a library of books that’s all about them—filled with stories they can see themselves in, dream through, or simply escape to! Some books tackle real-life issues they face daily, while others are pure fun and adventure. To support all my students, I’m also adding books at different reading levels, so whether a student is a strong reader or needs a little more help, there’s something for everyone.

With a wider range of reading levels in our library, students who might struggle with traditional books can still find reads that pull them in and keep them turning the page.

These aren’t just any books—they’re relevant, engaging, and carefully chosen for where my students are today. Your support will make a big difference, creating a library that’s relatable, exciting, and accessible for every reader in my classroom!
