This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First grade is my favorite grade to teach because it is where many students learn to read, become more independent, and grow as learners.
First graders make tremendous progress, especially in reading, and I want to make sure that I provide them with the books they need to make this growth.
I am requesting fiction level A and fiction and nonfiction level B reading books. I currently do not have enough of these leveled books to meet the needs of my students. I know that with these books, students will be able to practice their reading skills and strategies. I am also requesting book bins in order to organize the books in our classroom library.
