My Students

My students come from all socioeconomic levels, and many are learning English as a second language. Introducing them to any new educational material can be a challenge, but even more so if students feel that the materials are inaccessible or irrelevant.

My Project

The books I have requested will help my students be able to learn better as they practice reading in both Spanish and English and improving their literacy skills. Students will have the option to check out the books and take them home in case of online learning from COVID-19 (which we have already had a week of in 2022). The teacher resources will assist me in teaching new materials, and the extra novels add diversity to our classroom library by allowing us to branch out with authors of color.
