My Project
Our ninth grade developing readers have been so excited about the books in our classroom that some have read nearly everything in the room. Most of the books in this Donor's Choose have been requested by students as they continue to develop their reading confidence.
As a teacher, it has been exciting for me to see how eager my students have been to finish books this year.
During semester one, my students completed 280 books, which is more than I've ever had students finish. Students will finish books they like, so I want to get even more good books in their hands.
As my students read the books in our classroom, they develop reading strategies. They build reading confidence and stamina and score higher on end of level testing.
