I need books to help me engage all students in learning, books to be better at vocabulary instruction, and books to help lead my department's PLCs and to prioritize self-care for our teachers.

My Project
I'm a big believer in continued learning--as a teacher, I think you really have to be. How can you expect your students to want to learn if you don't also want to learn? I'm also not someone who does the same thing, in the same order, with the same materials every single year; instead, I love to create and try new things, which is where these books come in!
I have selected new books to help me continue learning and improving in all areas of my teaching practice: student engagement, classroom instruction, and department chair.
The student engagement book will give me some fresh, new ideas to help encourage all students to participate. The vocabulary book will help me with a specific area of weakness in my own instruction. The PLC and the self-care books will help me be a better leader for my English department and will help encourage others to practice self-care and reduce teacher burnout.
Please help me continue learning to be the best teacher I can be, and to continue leading my department to be the same, through this project!
