My Students

The students in my class will be split between Latino and white backgrounds. With the help of my students, I hope to create a learning culture that supports creativity, curiosity, and a thirst of knowledge. My students will set the stage for what they learn, and will ask their own questions, and investigate them with facilitator guidance. Using the standards as a guide, we will create learning goals that make it possible to achieve the standards as well as explore the questions inside us all.

My Project

Students have shown a great interest in the books of our classroom library. Unfortunately this resulted in many titles going home and not coming back. I would like funding to replace the books students have taken home over the school year.

Students have loved many titles in our library, but these are some of the favorites I would like to offer to my students next year as well.

The titles I have listed are Rick Riordan's "39 Clues", Soman Chainani's "School for Good and Evil", and a STEM Project idea book. Students have grown to expand their love of reading with these books. I would like to foster that love with next year's class as well. Thank you!
