My Project

Students in my classes are learning to become future teachers! We are focusing on preparing these young people for work in elementary schools. This year we are partnering with Pre-K classes to read books to their students!

Help fill our bookshelves with children's literature to share with our Pre-Kindergarten classroom partners through group read-aloud!

Students will be selecting a book to research, will interview the author, and will read the book to their classroom of pre-schoolers. Students will also lead their Pre-K friends through a craft activity related to their book.

To complete the cycle, students will also be writing a children's book with their Pre-K class! These books will be donated back to our partner school's library as a thank-you for allowing us to work with them!
