My Project

Our school has been given the opportunity to try a new character education curriculum. This curriculum will focus on positive character traits such as respect, kindness, honesty, and cooperation. Many of the lessons feature a picture book to help illustrate the concept being taught. In preschool, the students are just learning how to interact appropriately within a large group.

These books will provide concrete examples of how students can be responsible members of our classroom community.

In addition, these are high quality, meaningful texts that will provide opportunities to expand students' literacy development as well as their social emotional development. The books we read aloud to the preschoolers are always favorites for them to read to themselves during center time. They will love reading and rereading these stories all year.
