This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My 10th grade students have done an extremely impressive job of raising their reading levels this year. This success lies heavily in the dedication they give to using our classroom library to choose interesting books and to reading independently in class for 20 minutes every day.

Help me give my students access to books by Black authors!

My students love our diverse classroom library, and it would be amazing to be able to give them even more access to books written by people who look like them in celebration of Black History Month.
