My Students

My students live in lower socioeconomic neighborhoods that require support and resources for learning. One of the biggest challenges we face is providing literacy within our classroom that is up to date and relevant to the preschool age.

My students need books to help support the teaching that is occurring in the classroom each day.

These resources will be given to a classroom teacher to help the students learn their basic literacy skills.

My Project

Help me give the classrooms the opportunity to utilize many different holiday books within the classrooms. These books teach all about the different ways people around the world celebrate the holiday season.

Teachers are able to supplement their teaching with books that help support the diversity of learning about others celebrating the holidays.

These books will help students recognize and learn about others as well as show their peers how they celebrate the holiday season.

Books are always a good way to show and model good literacy at an early age. The more books the students are presented with, the more they are able to learn and enjoy the classroom.
