What would our lives be without art and literature? I enjoy challenging my students with diverse literature to help them to develop a love for reading, writing, creative and analytical skills. I am an English teacher at Galileo Academy and I am starting an Advanced Placement (AP)language and composition class for 11th grade. Why? Is there a demand from students? YES! Are there teacher resources? YES! Are there books & materials? NO! You can help change this picture. For this class, I would like to request the following books: "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote (5 copies) "Aristotle on Poetics" by Aristotle, translated by Seth Benardete & Michael Davis (35 copies) A mind is a terrible thing to waste! I am most grateful for your support and consideration in funding the materials needed for my class.
