My Project

Books are vital in shaping young minds, sparking creativity, and promoting critical thinking. For students to truly benefit, they need access to books that reflect their diverse linguistic backgrounds. That's why I'm asking for your support in donating to my classroom to purchase new books in multiple languages.

My classroom is home to a diverse group of students, all of whom speak different languages at home.

Providing books in their native languages helps build confidence, improves literacy skills, and fosters a sense of belonging. Unfortunately, my classroom library lacks some variety when it comes to Portuguese and French resources. Your donation will allow every student to engage with the material in a meaningful way.

Reading in their first language helps students develop strong literacy skills, which can later transfer to learning a second language. By offering books in multiple languages, we’re giving students the tools to succeed academically while encouraging a lifelong love of reading. These books also bridge the gap between home and school, allowing students to share stories with their families and strengthening their community connections.

Your donation will make a direct impact on my students’ education, providing them with the resources they need to succeed and helping create a more equitable and inclusive classroom. Thank you for supporting my classroom.
