My Students

My third-grade class has creative, thoughtful students who are full of life and are curious about everything. They love hands-on projects that make them think about their surroundings.

My students come to school saying they have problems completing assignments at home because of their lack of supplies.

We are a low-income school with many area problems, which include poverty and hard family life. Each child in my classroom loves learning and deserves to have the supplies they need each day to succeed.

My Project

I have a large variety of students on different reading levels in my classroom. I use a small group setting for these readers to read books that are on individual levels to build fluency and self confidence in their reading abilities. These books would help with finding books for these students on their level. I believe that each child in my classroom deserve the chance at reading success. By grouping by ability, you give a student a chance to shine, and find the love of reading in a good book.
