I teach 6th grade in a self contained classroom. My students have IEP's and need as much positive in their lives as possible. My students and their families struggle to obtain everyday essentials such as school supplies, food and clothing. The parents are often unable to provide enough support to replenish classroom supplies, such as notebooks, pencils, paper and other important materials that are needed for their child's education. My students come to school eager and willing to learn everyday, but lack the basic essentials to do so.
My Project
I teach 6th grade self contained classroom. My student will love to be able to have a great variety of books to read as they continue their journey of learning to read and reading to learn. My sixth grade class would greatly appreciate these amazing supplies that will increase the joy they have in reading exploring new materials and books. I would love to be able to provide my students with a warm classroom environment where they can feel comfortable and confident. These materials will help my students become better learners while addressing their academic needs. My students and I will be very grateful!
