Happy School Library Week!
The focus of this project is to increase the amount of books that support the mental health of my students.
I am always trying to find books that support the middle school students I work with on a daily basis. Life is sometimes very tough and at this age, they don't have the coping skills to deal with it. My goal is to build the nonfiction collection in my library and increase the books that target mental health goals. These books deal with differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, anxiety and depression. With these books in the library, the students will be able to find a safe space to learn about issues they have to deal with every day.
