This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are interested in reading chapter books and developing their literacy skills. By getting these items, we can do whole group lessons with chapter books that give them access to age-appropriate materials and create reading journals.
I want to give my students opportunities to grow their skills and increase their engagement in reading materials.
These books will help improve skills and provide more classroom independent reading opportunities.
The journals they create will also help them interact with their families about the content they are learning in school and help track their progress throughout the year.
