My Project

Students love stories they can relate to. With that idea in mind I have asked for books that reflect my students, either in the characters that are in the book or situations those characters find themselves in.

My students are finding themselves drawn to more books, especially books with characters who look like them.

It's easier for them to lose themselves in the story and to become the character as they read, which is want we want from readers. These books are ones that the students have expressed interest in and will be excited to read!
