My students need 30 copies each of "Sarah, Plain and Tall" and "The Boxcar Children", along with 2 grade level books sets.

I teach 3rd grade students on a military base. Many parents of my students are deployed. Due to low income levels we are school wide Title 1.

I have supplied many of the books in our classroom library. After 10 years of use many books are falling apart. District does not supply classroom libraries. The families I have do not have funds to purchase books.

The books I am asking for will replace worn out books in my tubs for students may read in class for Self Selected Reading. Self Selected Reading allows the student to pick a book of interest and reading level to improve on fluency. The sets of trade books will assist my students with comprehension as they read and discuss the stories in small groups and whole class.

Your help will ensure my students' success in reading by providing them with more variety in their reading choices.
