My Project
Welcome to my PreK classroom! My students are 3, 4, and 5-year-olds who attend a Title I public school in Washington, DC. My class is comprised of all special education students.
This project will replace our most loved, but worn out books, and introduce new favorites!
When we read books as a group my students are learning to use language, sounds, and gestures in meaningful ways as we share in storytelling. Attention and engagement improves and strengthens. Having multiple copies of the same books allows my students to pick up a favorite book and read on their own, building independence and agency.
