My students are absolutely amazing. They come to school every day excited to learn and grow. Our school and team are a very special place; everyone is there for the same reason which is for the children.
My students come from all walks of life, but most of my students come from low-income households.
No matter what is going on in their lives, they all come to school with a smile on their faces and ready to learn. I want to give my students many opportunities they may not get at home.
My Project
These new books will be a great addition to our classroom library. We will use them for small group reading blocks. We will enjoy reading classic stories on different reading levels. The variety of books, reading levels, classic fairy tales, and stories from different cultures will reach everyone! In small reading groups of four to five students, we will be able to dive into each of the stories. We will focus on the characters, settings, themes, sequence of events, as well as the different text features of the different genres of books. Each of the books are also a part of our reading program called, Accelerated Reader. Students will be able to take comprehension reading tests after we have completed the books to test their comprehension skills. Help us add some amazing new books to our classroom library.
