Books, Books Everywhere! But Not a Shelf to Sit On!

My students need a big, beautiful bookshelf to keep all their creatively labeled book bins on!

I teach a unique group of 3rd graders in a high-needs school who all have different passions and talents.

I knew when embarking on our class project to revamp our library, each and every one of them would be helpful, since they all have different passions and abilities to contribute to this undertaking. We spent time over the course of a few days fixing up our classroom library- and I don't just mean putting the books back! We decided to switch it up after one student noticed we could jazz up our bins to reach all different types of readers! We removed the boring old labels, like "Chapter Books", and gave them more exciting titles like "Ha!Ha! Books That Will Make You Laugh!" and "What Do You Want To Be When You Grow Up? Books About Jobs". All the students took a part in this, whether it was brainstorming new titles, creating labels, scrounging around the room for empty bins, or organizing the books into new and exciting categories. All the hard work paid off and the bins look beautiful!

However, we don't seem to have enough space on our existing bookshelves for these bins. There are bins everywhere- on the floor, on tables, on the window sill, and even piled onto other book bins.

This is no way to display the hard work my students put into fixing up our library but sadly there is just no other shelves to put them on. Your help will ensure that all their hard work does not go to waste and the bins are not destroyed by being left places they don't deserve to be. A beautiful bookshelf will be the perfect place to put our newly labeled bins and make the students proud of their classroom library!
