My Project

I have asked for multiple, new book titles for my classroom. This year, I am having a hard time getting my students to pick up a book and read. During our independent reading time, I am constantly staying on students to read and I know they are still just staring at the page.

I am hoping these interesting, new books will help engage my students and make them want to read.

I have a wide range of reading abilities this year so the books I am requesting are 2nd grade-5th grade level. I have asked for a variety of popular book titles that have won awards or have interesting book covers. If I am honest, most kids pick books based on the cover.
