Kids need to learn how to write. I want to inspire and instill in them a love for writing. Currently, my students lack writing skills such as generating ideas, organization, and fluency. I hope to turn this around using the books I have requested.
My students are enthusiastic, eager learners.
My class is very multicultural, including Middle Eastern, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, African American, Hispanic, and Caucasian students. They love read aloud time and are always anxious to see what book I will read to them next. They attend a wonderful school that promotes lifelong learning.
My Project
I am requesting picture books to teach writing using the six traits. With books like If Dogs Were Dinosaurs, It's Okay to Be Different, The Tortilla Factory, Things That Are Most In This World, and many more, my students will become developed writers using ideas, organization, voice, word choice, sentence fluency, and conventions. I love teaching writing, and I hope my students learn to love writing as well!
These picture books will help my students understand the difficult concepts of writing and become successful writers this year.
Please help me instill the love and importance of writing by donating to this project! Thank you!
