My Students
Every day, working with my students is a learning opportunity. My classroom embraces diversity with students of different abilities, so I want to create an environment where all learners can succeed in their own way.
My class is full of students who want to learn and explore new things every day, and despite the challenges that they may face, they are always striving to do their best.
Catering to student interests and strengths is critical to help students be successful. Students should feel a sense of ownership in their learning and be motivated to want to explore and learn more.
I believe learning should be fun and interactive! I want to create an environment where my students have fun learning and continue to explore their questions and wonderings.
My Project
Since the beginning of the school year, my first graders have been working on becoming stronger readers. They are reading at school and reading at home, so they are going through the books in our classroom library quickly.
Each time we get new books, my students are so excited to read them.
In first grade, many students start by reading pattern books or basic sequential stories, and then at the end of the year, they start reading beginning chapter books.
A variety of books in our classroom library will be necessary to guide my students on their reading journey. I'm excited to be able to introduce these new books, and the new adventures to them. Thank you for your support!
