My classroom is filled with second grade students who love to learn and explore! Each day, my amazing students enter the classroom ready to take on all of the new information and learning that awaits them.
Each student is wonderful and unique!
Students in my classroom come from a variety of economic backgrounds and have various learning styles. As we come together to learn in our classroom, I strive to make materials and work spaces available to students that engage them and enable them to learn in their preferred learning style at their learning levels.
My Project
These materials will support student learning for various projects throughout the year. My students are always excited to learn how the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade came to be and how it developed into what it is today. Having multiple copies of the book will enable us to go more in depth with reading skills and allow students to be able to share the story with their families during this unit.
Expanding the books in our library that share the story of people who have made a difference in the history of America will allow additional resources for our biographies unit.
Students are learning to research and apply their writing skills while they learn about our country's history.
