My Students

I have twelve students in third and fourth grades that are always excited to learn and explore! They come to school each day eager and ready to see what the day holds for them. It always amazes me to see how hard they work, even on the most difficult topics. They all love to be challenged!

I want to encourage their love of learning in every way possible.

In class we use a variety of methods to learn and practice, from reading out of a textbook to using the school's new Chromebooks. They love using Google Docs to type and edit their papers. Their joy for learning makes my job as a teacher worthwhile!

My Project

These literature sets will help keep my students engaged in reading by providing them new and more recent books. In third and fourth grade we begin reading more difficult books and analyzing what we have read. This transition is much easier when students are excited about what they are reading!

The kids love being able to read and explore books together!

Having some new literature sets for reading groups will be a great way to do this. Several of our literature sets are older and have seen lots of wear and tear. I would love to be able to replace some of these with newer books that will pique their interest!
