My Students

I teach at a school at a Title I school in Moore, OK. My students in my class are such a creative, fun and hard working group of students with the want to learn. They have excitement for school and enjoy diving into learning. They never let the struggles they face bring them down and they always come to school excited to learn more. It makes being their teacher the most wonderful thing.

My Project

With technology becoming a bigger part of schools, I think it's so important to get student hands on more books. It's easy for students to get lost in iPads, tablets, etc. I want each student to have the opportunity to fall in love with reading and books. The way for students to fall in love with reading is to have lots of options for books to read that interest them.

In addition, I would love to help students grow their love of reading through book clubs.

Being able to read books together and with their friends can create awesome discussions and help motivate students to be better readers.
