Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in the best school ever! My students are so enthusiastic and eager to learn. We are currently a Title I school with low socioeconomic students. I teach students who are focused on their learning and sharing their knowledge with others. We are a family like no other. My students do not allow their situation to define who they are and who they shall become.

I have 5th graders who are eager to learn and love trying new things.

Our students are proud of their accomplishments no matter how small or large. They enjoy bringing their lessons to life, which makes me a vested agent, who piques their interest, engages them and fosters their learning. They are our future and I believe in them!

My Project

My students love to read! Now that we are coming back from digital learning, students did not have an opportunity to have different books at their finger tips. This project will give students, in my class, an opportunity to read books from diverse authors and topics that will help them with reading and learning. They will explore characters, understand economics, compare texts, or just use these books to escape and dream. Also, because of the varying ability levels in my class, these books are leveled and will allow ALL diverse learners to have access to reading NEW books that will open their minds to dream big and look at life through different lenses.
