My Project
During the pandemic, books were limited to kids at home. Kids' minds need to grow and absorb new material every so often. Since COVID, many children have been stuck on their electronics, forgetting there is a whole other world for their imagination. Books have become a huge part of life; it is important that younger generations see this.
With this project, I am encouraging reading, teaching them new things in a way they can enjoy, and taking care of our stuff.
As a school, we are encouraging kids to read every day this month. With these books, they are no longer limited to the same books. Everyone gets excited about something new, especially books, or even better, something of their liking and interests everyone.
As they read, it'll also teach them things from basic learning things, history, science, and even important life lessons, some of which might involve what they are going through right now. These books were chosen with the thought of which important lessons every generation should learn at some point. It has the perfect lessons with something likening to keep their interest and learn better.
We will also encourage them to learn how to take care of our books so they last longer. They will learn that taking care of our stuff matters and how to take care of stuff, especially books. They will also learn to show love to books and hopefully find a love for books.
These kids have been through a lot, coming from immigrant and refugee families. I want to make positives memories for them and their families. Your donation and support will show what special books are and help teach kiddos in a fun way for them, that also keeps them engaged and learning, absorbing information and using their imagination.
