My Project
Social-Emotional learning is the process through which children acquire skills related to social interactions and emotions. SEL programming and interventions can help autistic students significantly improve in social skills, behavior, emotional regulation, attitudes, and academic performance.
The donated book sets in this project will be used to teach autistic students how to effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships and make responsible decisions.
Students in my program will be able to learn life long lessons that will drive their abilities to make and keep friends, achieve goals, and succeed in school and after for lifelong learning.
