My Students

This year I am fortunate enough to be with my students in person. I want to make the most of their time back in school and make sure they are able to learn at top quality. As a teacher in a lower income area, I understand the types of circumstances my students live in are not perfect and want to provide them with a classroom where they feel invited and happy to enter each day. My students come from homes that were hit hardest from COVID neighborhoods and while dealing with the reality of that, I want to work to ensure they are excited to come to school and learn. All students deserve to be in a safe space that they can call home.

My Project

For my project, I want to make sure that I have my classroom equipped with the necessary reading resources to meet all of the needs of the students. I am teaching the students who some have not been in the classroom for 2 years due to COVID so, they are really behind. I want to provide them with books on their level or above to get them to the necessary reading level they need to be at to be promoted to sixth grade.

I want my students to be eager to learn and do the best that they can even if we do not have the resources in our classroom.

My students enjoy reading but I want to fill my classroom with some of their favorite books.
