This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school where over 90% of our students receive free or reduced-price meals. We have many students from hardworking families who speak many other languages other than English. My students are young, eager learners and I am striving to create a love of learning that will last them throughout their educational career.

At our school, we are committed to providing every student with the support and opportunity to reach their full potential.

My goal is to to provide my students with a fun and nurturing learning environment where students are excited to come to school each day!

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich environment that I am striving to create in my classroom and in their homes. I will be sending home daily reading options for students to take home that will help enhance reading interests, level, and overall comprehension. Therefore, I am trying to build up a take-home library with a wide range of variety that will last my students throughout the school year.

With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of take-home reading options that will allow them to read independently, at their own level, and develop a lasting interest in books.
