My Students
This class of learners is full of some of the most unique individuals I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They all bring something different to our classroom and I am so thankful for each and every one of them.
Each and every one of these students has GRIT. It is a topic we have discussed at length this year. Many of these kiddos receive a free or reduced-price lunch and have experienced many hardships at home. I admire their perseverance and determination to not let anything stand in their way.
My Project
Reading is so important and something I have been trying to foster a love for with these kiddos. This is a very diverse group of readers in that they have lots of different interests and there is a wide range of ability. One thing I have done to get books in their hands is get a project fully funded by my friends and family so each of my kiddos gets a new book every month to keep. They love when they get their new books and its something they talk about excitedly with their classmates at length.
Their love for reading is growing with each new book I place in their hands. I am hoping that I can get more books at their levels and interests so I can continue to meet their needs and watch their passion for learning grow!
