My Students

My students will be walking into a place of learning, discovering, collaboration and love! Many of my students come from broken homes or live with their grandparents! I want them to be able to take pride in everything they do in and out of school. We are a small community which in turn helps create a family feel.

My students are anxious to be able to read books and create things on their own.

A majority of my students qualify for free and reduced-price lunches. There a lot of issues in my students' lives that I cannot control, but I can give them a positive and loving learning atmosphere!

My Project

My students are 6-7 years old. They are learning to love reading at this age. It is important for me to have an abundance of books for them to choose from when they come to my classroom. I need a lot more of the Easy Read books because they have a lot of pictures and very little words for them to begin with.

They eat theses books up!!

It really makes them feel confident and want to continue to read all year. Please consider donating to fund these books for my firsties! We appreciate that you even thought of us!
