My Students

My students BEG me to read all day every day. I teach 5th grade gifted in Forest Hills, NY, and my students love nothing more than a good book. Please help me get more and more new titles for my kiddos!

My students, like their teacher, love to read and we are a bunch of nerds!

We all enjoy an amazing story we can get lost in and we want new books that we have not read yet! We share with each other and recommend to each other, but we love to have choices. Please help our class have an amazing library!

My Project

My students are part of a Reading Response Notebook Study with a PHD from Queens College. We presented our findings at the NCTE conference in DC this past November. In order for my students to be able to do their best work, they need lots of great books.

This project will make a huge difference to my students.

They love to get their hands on books. Because they are part of the NYC gifted program, they are high-level readers and have read most of what we have available.
