Books & Boogie Boards for Student FUN!

Help me give my students books to fall in love with reading and "boogie boards" to make learning fun!

My Students

"I can't wait to learn today!" is something many of my students have told me each morning. My students are creative, energetic, exciting, and thoughtful kids who look forward to school each day. My classroom is full of students of various backgrounds, ability, and maturity levels.

For many of my students, school is the best part of their day.

Some of my students come from broken homes or have a difficult family life. Because of this, I strive to make my classroom a place where each student feels safe, loved, and happy to be there! I love planning rigorous and engaging lessons that my students will never forget!

My Project

After two years of teaching with COVID on our minds, students need a way to escape their reality and forget what a tough year of learning this is. Getting multiple sets of books will allow my students to have a much more engaging, rigorous, and safe way to improve their reading and literacy skills! These books will allow my students to each have their own copy of the book, which ensures their safety in not having to share a copy with another student as well as have the opportunity to take books home in case of distance learning. These books will cover multiple literacy standards, such as: RL.5.1, RL.5.2, RL.5.10, SL.5.1 as well as many Social Studies standards.

Every year, students deserve to have FUN in school - but this year, that statement is even more true!

With the addition of 15 "Boogie Boards" to my classroom, I will be able to create a FUN, engaging, and safe environment to help my students' emotional well-being. Boogie Boards are an engaging way for students to share their answers and collaborate together on projects, ideas, and assignments in a way that everyone can participate.
