My Project

Instead of reading the same stories from year to year, I would love the opportunity to provide my students alternate book choices that highlight various cultures.

The book I have chosen is called “Baseball in April” by Gary Soto.

Soto provides readers with a collection of short stories that portray many valuable lesson in life through kids of various cultures who live in California.

This book of short stories would provide many learning opportunities for my students with valuable lessons. They would be given the chance to make personable connections to what they are reading and soar as writers as they analyze the memorable parts.

Ms. Meyer will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by June 14.
