Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting basic items that children need to be successful in school. When your tummy is hungry, it is difficult to concentrate on schoolwork. The snacks will replace the snacks the kids have already received, and eaten. Some forget their snacks, some need a bit more some days, and others just need a snack because there isn't one at home. The bins will help keep the snacks stay fresh, and keep critters away.
My students are highly motivated, and always look for new books to read to advance their comprehension and vocabulary skills.
The new books will continue to give my students choices that will engage them throughout the rest of the year. By adding these new titles, many students will surely be excited to pick up a book, and friends that don't necessarily like to read, may find one of these titles peak their interest.
Finally, the chair will replace an older chair in the room that does not work so well in the space.
