This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I enjoy reading every day and seeing that spark and joy in my kids when they listen attentively to a story. I want to instill that love for reading. Every child deserves to have books in their hands. My amazing students will seek their favorite titles, David Goes To School and Fish is Fish. Reading needs to happen for every student every day relentlessly. What better way than to have access to a variety of books that help young readers fall in love with reading? Just imagine the joy and smiles these sensory books bring. In the words of Stephen King, “books are a uniquely portable magic.” A love for reading is critical for success in school. We need these amazing books and your generosity is essential.
