Books Are a Need to Read

My students need more books at their level to read. In order to be successful in reading, these book bins and levels will help the students build their reading knowledge.

My Students

I work in a small county school that hasn't had a levy passed in a few years. The school is K-8 and our students only receive what is minimum to get through our learning, unless it comes out of the teacher's pocket. Our school tries to do what we can for our students, but some times funds lack.

I would really like to be able to build a learning library for my first graders.

First grade is an essential time for reading and learning, and they will need all of the practice they can get!

My Project

The curriculum we are building and using in our school, does not have student level books. The students are lacking in reading fluency, because they do not have anything at their level to read.

Reading is a key to understanding word knowledge, and to be successful, more books are needed at the student's level.

The books will allow the students in first grade to read and understand books at their learning level. The leveling of books is hard and limited as well. These book bins and books, will allow me to keep them organized and have easy access to them for my students.
