My Students

Each day I get to walk into a classroom of students that are from all over the world. They each bring something different to the classroom. They all are at different stages in their English language development, and that brings a new and different perspective to the classroom. I love working with such a diverse population.

Getting to teach in a school where we embrace diversity and are proud of it makes me love my job even more; getting to teach a group of students that can challenge me in my way of teaching makes me excited to try new things and think outside the box to figure out how they best learn.

I love that I am always looking for new ways to challenge them and engage them in their learning. When I challenge them, they are more engaged in the learning process, and school isn't such a chore for them.

My Project

Being able to bring more books about social-emotional learning into the classroom with continue to help students that have been struggling during the pandemic. The need for resources gears to social and emotional learning is more important now than it has ever been.

Some of these tools will help to foster relationship building between students are they learn and play together.

Giving students puzzles and games along with hands-on toys to play and build friendships with will only enhance their relationship building and foster a love for school and learning.
